Deals & Discounts For Kids
Save on admission, food and rides if you’re 12 and younger
The San Diego County Fair offers several deals just for kids. Among them are:
Kids’ Day: Tuesday, June 27, 2017
We pull out all the stops for kids 12 and younger on the first Tuesday the Fair is open. All kids 12 and younger are admitted free on this day; on other Fair days, kids 6-12 pay $11 for admission.
We also plan tons of fun activities for kids to see and do. Many of the activities happen this day only; others are daily attractions.
Can’t make it to the Fair on Kids’ Day? Then read your way to free admission.
Kids 12 and younger can read 10 books, get that certified by their teacher or a librarian, then bring their Reading Certificate to the Fair for free admission, any day.
You get to keep your certificate to show what a great reader you are, but we cut off one small part of the corner to show that you earned your reward for doing so.
Look for the Kids’ Meal Deal sign at our various food booths. Kids can get an entrée, side dish and soft drink for $5.99.
Kids love the rides, and they will ride all day if you let them. So let them!
On Pay-One-Price Ride Days, you buy a ride wristband that allows kids of any age to ride as much as they want from the opening of the Fun Zone and Kids Zone until 8:00PM. The wristband is valid for any one day on select Wednesdays and Thursdays, plus some bonus “online only” days at the start of the Fair’s run.
Okay, it’s kind of a discount. Participate in the daily Pie Eating Contest, and you’ll get a free piece of delicious Coco’s pie. You won’t have much time to enjoy it, though, if you want to win a ribbon in your age group!
P.S. We’ll give you some wet wipes to clean up afterward.
