The San Diego County Fair is open through July 4. In the interest of public safety, activities involving direct animal interaction at the Fair have been suspended.

All guests are encouraged to wash their hands after any contact with animals or their living area, as well as prior to eating or drinking.

The information below is from the 2019 Fair, and it will give you an idea of what to expect in 2020. Please check back soon!

Many options for Fair parking

The San Diego County Fair has many parking options, both on-site and off-site. During the Fair, turn your radio to AM 1680 for real-time parking updates.

On-Site Parking

On-site lots open at 9:00AM, two hours before the Fair gates open. (The Fair is closed Mondays and Tuesdays in June.)
On 2019 Opening Day, May 31, the lots open at 1:00PM, three hours before the Fair gates open.
On July 4, the lots open at 8:00AM, two hours before the Fair gates open.

General Parking $17.00
Preferred Parking $27.00
  • Oversized vehicles, such as RVs, are not permitted. Vehicles must be no longer than 27 feet, so they are able to fit in a single parking space.
  • Cash and credit cards are accepted for parking fee payment.
  • Parking fees apply to motorcycles as well as vehicles. Motorcycles have a designated parking area in the Main Lot.
  • Lots close about an hour after the grounds close.
  • Trams service the Fairgrounds lots, and run continuously.
  • Certain items may not be brought into the Fair. We suggest you review our Guest Services section so you will know what to leave in your car.
  • See our Guest Services section for information on parking for disabled patrons. Every lot, both on-site and off-site, has parking for disabled guests.

Experts from the Automobile Club of Southern California will be on hand from 1:00 to 10:00PM each day the Fair is open to assist drivers who have locked themselves out of their vehicle or who need a battery jump.

Off-site Parking

Fair insiders know that you can save money by using one of our off-site parking lots, with free shuttles to the O’Brien Gate.

  • Off-site parking lots stay open about an hour after the Fair closes for the night.
  • Parking at off-site lots is on a space-available basis.
  • No RVs or oversized vehicles. Each vehicle must fit into a single parking space.
  • Free shuttles service these lots and run continuously between the lot and the O’Brien Gate (main gate).
  • Each lot has disability-designated parking.
  • Shuttles are available for wheelchairs and guests with disabilities.
  • No smoking, drinking or eating on the buses.
  • Off-site lots are lighted.
