Start your day with a tail-wagging good time at the Pet-tacular Pooch Fun Run, presented by Southpaw Vet.

Whether you're walking or running, bring your furry friend to join in on the excitement before the Fair opens. Compete in our fun dog contests, race around the Fairgrounds, and enjoy a morning of fresh air and activity with your dog! It's the perfect way to get your day started on the right paw.

Why Join in on the Fun?

Celebrate the special bond with your four-legged friend while getting some fresh air and exercise on a 1/2 mile or 1 mile route.
Run or walk around the fairgrounds before the Fair opens, experiencing the area in a fun and unique way with your dog. Snap a selfie with your pup with the Ferris Wheel as your backdrop!
Participate in contests with your dog for the chance to win ribbons, bragging rights, and cheers from fellow dog lovers.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

PET-TACULAR POOCH FUN RUN EVENT, ENTRY BIB & FINISHERS MEDAL
Choose between two scenic routes—a 1/2 mile or 1 mile course! Whether you’re strolling or sprinting, there’s a perfect option for you and your dog. Take in the morning air, get some exercise, and maybe even enjoy some tail-wagging moments along the way. The 1 mile course features a special photo op at the Ferris wheel—be sure to stop and snap a pic with your dog for a memorable moment! Important Note: Each dog must be registered separately under their owner’s name.

FAIR ADMISSION—FOR HUMANS ONLY!
Humans who register in advance for the Pet-tacular Pooch Fun Run, can enjoy a full day admission to the Fair any single day of the 2025 season just by showing their registration for the Pet-tacular Pooch Fun Run at the entrance gate! While we love your dogs, they are not allowed at the Fair. If you plan on attending the day of the Fun Run, you will need to first take your dog home and return to the Fair, so please plan ahead.
