Event Details
🗓️ DATE: Open Daily
TIME: 11:00 AM–10:00 PM
📍 LOCATION: Exhibit Hall

The Home Arts and Hobbies Exhibit offers a variety of demonstrations that celebrate and teach the art of crafting, DIY projects, and homegrown skills. Knitters, quilters, clay workers, weavers, and even lacers make the most intricate of skills look effortless. These sessions are designed to inspire creativity, showcase traditional and modern techniques, and encourage participants to try new hobbies. Fair visitors may also celebrate their own skills with hands-on/make-and-take art and craft projects such as origami, brush painting, or button art.

On display are the entries from the Home Arts and Hobbies Competition featuring a myriad of handcrafts such as quilting, needlepoint, knitting, tole painting, preserved foods and baking. Ribbons and cash are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Best in Class and Best of Show. Ribbons are also awarded in honor of past coordinators Chana Mannen, Eva Peterson and Nyla James, and for the best Fair-themed entry and Coordinator's favorite entry. Youth divisions are offered in an inclusive cross-section of the adult categories, and ribbons are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place.
