Plant*Grow*Eat

PLANT* GROW* EAT APPLICATIONS ARE SCHEDULED TO OPEN IN FEBRUARY 2025

LET'S GET GROWING!

The San Diego County Fair's Plant*Grow*Eat program introduces Kindergarten through Third Grade students to the wonders of agriculture. Teachers throughout San Diego County can sign up their class to participate in this program at no cost. Over the past 30 years, more than 250,000 students, thousands of teachers and volunteers have participated in this award-winning agricultural program.

Students visit The Farm at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in May, before the start of the San Diego County Fair. Through interactive learning stations focused on plants and farm animals, students gain hands-on knowledge about farming and the food cycle. At the end of each tour, each student will leave with a pot of newly planted radish seeds to grow, harvest, and of course eat — at home. Each student will also receive an admission ticket to attend the San Diego County Fair. Plant*Grow*Eat creates a learning experience that is both fun and memorable!

SAVE THE DATE!

There will be 10 available Plant*Grow*Eat sessions to choose from: Monday, May 12 through Friday, May 16, beginning at either 9:00am or 10:30am each day.*

Applications are scheduled to open February 2025.
