Cowboy Jack performed on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville while working as an entertainer at Opryland. After singing the Hank Williams Sr. song, “There’s a Tear In My Beer,” the audience’s reaction inspired him to create The Hank Show, a 1950 vintage replica of Hank Williams Sr. music. The band consists of Cowboy Jack in Hank singing style on a 1950 Shure microphone, playing a 1975 Martin D-28 acoustic guitar like Hank used. Cowboy Jack wears a Nudie suit with musical notes made by the same tailor who made Hank’s suit. Band members wear authentic period costumes and play authentic period instruments. Cowboy Jack covers 25 of Hank’s songs. He has performed the show throughout the United States.
