Wendy focuses on the power and energy of the brush. The flow of the ink and brush is what Asian brush is about for her.
She has studied both Japanese and Chinese brush painting for over 15 years. The masters Qi Baishi and Ito Jakuchu influence her art. Her calligraphy WIND won first place at the 2014 American Artist of Chinese Brush Painting (AACBP) Exhibition.
Wendy’s works have been exhibited in Southern California at Balboa Park, Gallery 21, San Diego County Fair, Buddhist Temple San Diego, San Diego Botanic Garden, La Jolla Rifford Library, San Diego Chinese Historical Museum and Huntington Beach Public Library. She is a member of Washukai, Chinese Brush Painting Society, Lung Hsiang (AACBP) and Chinese Art Study Association. Demo subjects will focus on flowers, nature and landscape.
