The San Diego County Fair is open through July 4. In the interest of public safety, activities involving direct animal interaction at the Fair have been suspended.

All guests are encouraged to wash their hands after any contact with animals or their living area, as well as prior to eating or drinking.

Win a ribbon for your homegrown zucchini

Backyard gardeners: Pick the best, biggest or most unusually shaped zucchini from your garden and bring it to the San Diego County Fair, and you might go home with a ribbon or cash award!

Any youth or adult residing in San Diego County may enter. Zucchinis must have been grown by the exhibitor. Zucchinis must be green (no “zumpkins”).

Cash awards and ribbons for the heaviest zucchini and the best-looking zucchini. Please see the Entry Form for specifics.

There is no entry fee. Each entrant receives free Fair admission until noon the day of the contest.
