Homegrown Produce

The information below is from the 2018 Fair, and it will give you an idea of what to expect in 2019. Please check back!

Your homegrown produce can win a ribbon!

Homegrown fruits and vegetables take some work, but the taste is the reward! Let us reward you further with ribbons for your best garden produce. This contest is open to any youth or adult who lives in San Diego County. Pre-registration is required.

Any youth or adult who lives in San Diego County.

The entry fee is $5 per contest date, and includes free Fair admission. You may enter one contest date, or both.

One entry, per class, per show. The vegetables division has six classes; fruits has eight. There also are basket classes for fruits and vegetables.

Participants must register online in advance. Entrants receive free admission to the Fair on the contest day, and then bring their homegrown produce to The Farm at Family Funville by noon for check-in. Judging begins promptly at 1:00PM.
